No Peace Underground: Promotion Returns With Samsara Event.

First off sorry for the gap between posts, I was exhausted from work, I ran out of data on my phone until February 7th, and it didn't help I was hungover all of Saturday. That being said I was on Fire TV looking for some wrestling to watch with a couple friends and to also cover on here and that's when I ran into No Peace Underground and their Samsara Event. The card had names I was familiar with from GCW (and unfortunately XPW) as well as the NWA. The one match on the card that made me curious and was like this is the show to cover was Jimmy Lloyd vs Lyndsay Snow in a Devil's Big Red Dick Death match. With a name like that I was like so uhm why is it called that and what weapon would be called the Devil's Big Red Dick (was hoping it was a giant red dildo covered in thumbtacks or something to that nature). So my friends and I start watching the event and we are greated with an opening skit with the ring announcer and host, drinking at a bar and talking about how No Peace Underground was dormant for a year since they lost their venue, then at the end of it the announcer gets a call from what I assume is the owner (he's at least the executive producer) which informs the announcer a new venue has been obtained and wants him to get back to work for the next show, that being this one Samsara. First match on the card is Marcus Mathers vs Treehouse Lee. Now my friends and I are familiar with Marcus Mathers due to his appearances on GCW, Treehouse Lee on the other hand we never heard of before. Sorry to back track a little bit, but my friend Ogre and I tried watching this show on Saturday when it was live (Mike Riot had plans that night, so was unable to watch the show with us on Saturday) but midway through the secondatch Ogre had to help Mike out since Mike's car battery died, so we ended up watching the whole show on Sunday (last night). Well Mike and I did, Ogre wasn't impressed with what he saw on Saturday so thought he saw enough as opposed to ya know watching an entire show before beong judgemental about a promotion. Anyway so Mike and I watched the first match and on second viewing the match didn't really improve, didn't get worse either, it was your run of the mill opening match. Mathers and Lee we're for the most part mat wrestling throughout the match which makes sense since Mathers is more of a technician as opposed to being a high flyer or brawler. Lee according to the announcers was more of a high flyer, but due to his mat skills showed that he had more to his arsenal than just holds off the top rope. Due to some dirty tactics from Lee wearing Mathers down (well dirty tactics in most wrestling promotions, Lee was strangling Mathers with a tie) Treehouse Lee was able to win via pinfall. During the entire match though Mike and Ogre were wondering who the hell gets the name Treehouse Lee (in a later segment it is revealed he probably lives in a treehouse so that probably explains it). With that all being said since I do have limited time today to cover the whole event so this will be continued tomorrow, so be on the lookout.

Revenge Pro Wrestling: First Live Event I'll Be Attending For The Year

So there's a promotion I've been following since COVID started to calm it's shit, and that is Revenge Pro Wrestling out of Erie Pennsylvania. The promotion runs four shows a year (one show per each season) and this February they're having their first show this year. The event is the Revenge Rumble and takes place at the Avalon Hotel, in the conference room (which is the only room that looks kept up, the rest of the hotel is pretty run down, but it's got charm to it) and the recently crowned Revenge Pro Champion and co-owner "Big League" John McChesney will be defending his belt for the first time during his reign as champion against Jaxon Argos, the number one contender and winner of the Erie Invitational. Both wrestlers have an undefeated record in Revenge Pro Wrestling, so one of these wrestlers will experience their first loss in this company and it will be a great match to witness live. Stay in the look out for more posts about this show cuz yes I'm milking it so I can make a few posts until the weekend.

NJPW'S Interpromotional All-Star Junior Festival: Part 1 The Announcement

My alarm goes off at 5:20AM EST, I still feel groggy as ever so I hit the snooze button, then at 5:30AM my alarm goes off again and I struggle to get out of bed to start the day. I check my phone in order to read messages sent to me while I was asleep in order to jump start my brain for the day. I see I have an alert from discord, and it's from the Tape Trade channel on his discord which said "Big show alert, March 1st LEC, NJPW, and Hiromu Takahashi present the first ever All-Star Junior Festival! Junior Heavyweights from 22 promotions will be competing in this enormous offering." He also mentioned the promotions that have talent that will be featured in the event which include:
2AW
666 Pro Wrestling
All Japan Pro Wrestling
Big Japan Pro Wrestling
CMLL
DDT Pro Wrestling
DRADITION
Dragon Gate
Ganbare Pro Wrestling
GLEAT
Just Tap Out
Kyushu Pro Wrestling
Michinoku Pro Wrestling
New Japan Pro Wrestling (obviously)
Osaka Pro Wrestling
PANCRASE MISSION
Pro Wrestling BASARA
Pro Wrestling FREEDOMS
Pro Wrestling NOAH
Pro Wrestling SECRET BASE
Pro Wrestling ZERO1
Ryuukyuu Dragon Pro Wrestling

As far as I could find no wrestlers have been announced yet, nor have the matches but the venue will be at Karakuen Hall. I also noticed the only promotion that isn't Japanese is CMLL, which they were probably were included due to their relationship with NJPW. Regardless if any more promotions will be announced or not, I will say I'm excited for this event and will be on the lookout for any more updates on it. It was a great way to start the day.

Another Rebrand And A Fresh Start

Hello my readers, it's been awhile. After dealing with depression and just finding free time in general I put this on haitus a while back. Welp I'm gonna revive it again, although in a different writing style than before. You see back when I wrote for Pitt Bradford's student newspaper, The Source, the best article I wrote was a first hand account of being on campus during the aftermath of a water main break. I more or less wrote the article in Hunter S. Thompson's gonzo journalism style and had a lot of compliments on the article itself. I also recently found out that Hunter S. Thompson also use to cover pro wrestling matches while as a sports writer and this has inspired me to be more personable with my writing on here. So with that being said, all articles will be in the first person and I will try to post at least an article a day. So hopefully this is will be do-able since honestly I'm 70k in debt due to college so I might as well make use of my degree and write about a topic that I love. So in short, I'm back

No Peace Underground: Promotion Returns With Samsara Event.
